 CP OLOHUNDARE JIMOH RECEIVES SCREENING TEAM FOR POLICE CONSTABLE RECRUITMENT EXERCISE, CHARGES INTEGRITY AND TRANSPARENCY



The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, today, 9th March 2026, received the team responsible for the Credentials and Physical Screening Exercise of successful applicants from Lagos State. The team, comprising officers of the Nigeria Police Force and personnel of the Police Service Commission, is overseeing the ongoing recruitment exercise for 50,000 Police Constables.


During the meeting at the Command Headquarters, Ikeja, the Commissioner of Police charged the team to strictly adhere to the established guidelines and ethos of the screening exercise. He emphasised the need for the process to be conducted with the highest level of integrity, fairness, and transparency, in order to uphold the credibility of the Police Service Commission, the Nigeria Police Force, and the nation at large.


The screening team assured the Commissioner of Police of their readiness and commitment to ensuring that due process is strictly followed and that only the most qualified and suitable applicants are selected. The Police team is led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Adebisi Balogun, while the Police Service Commission team is headed by Chief Administrative Officer Eleyinmi Akinola. Members of both teams are working in collaboration with other relevant stakeholders, including the Federal Character Commission and the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), to ensure the smooth and credible conduct of the exercise.


The Lagos State Police Command wishes to emphasise that the screening exercise is absolutely free of charge. Applicants and members of the public are therefore warned to beware of fraudsters or individuals who may demand money or promise assistance in influencing the process. They are advised to strictly adhere to their scheduled screening date and time and are required to come along with the following documents:

1. Invitation Slip (with assigned TABLE);

2. Credential Screening Form;

3. Original National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card issued by NIMC;

4. ‘O’ Level (GCE/SSCE) Certificate;

5. Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age;

6. Local Government/State of Origin Certificate;

7. Trade Test/Certificate (for Specialist applicants only);

8. Duly completed and signed Guarantors Form with photocopies and passport photographs of referees attached;

9. Original and duplicate copies of credentials neatly packaged in two separate white flat files with recent passport photographs attached.


Applicants are also required to log in to the recruitment portal: npfapplication.psc.gov.ng to check their status and print the following documents, which must be presented at the screening venue on the date and time indicated on their Invitation Slip:

i. Guarantors Form (to be properly filled);

ii. Application Submission Slip;

iii. Invitation Slip;

iv. Credentials Screening Form;

v. Physical Screening Form.


The Lagos State Police Command urges all applicants to comply strictly with the guidelines to ensure a smooth and successful screening exercise.
