NSCDC SOUTH-EAST MINING MARSHALS DRAW THE LINE IN EBONYI, END ILLEGAL MINING AT AMEKA SITE.
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) South East Mining Marshals Team has sealed the Ameka Mining Site in Ezza South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals Development.
The well-coordinated operation, executed with precision and professionalism, reaffirms the Corps’ unwavering commitment to combating illegal mining and protecting Nigeria’s vast mineral resources from economic saboteurs.
Speaking after the exercise, the Team Leader, Superintendent of Corps Emmanuel Nkoro, emphasized that the operation reflects the NSCDC’s alignment with the Federal Government’s renewed effort to sanitize the mining sector and promote lawful, transparent mineral exploitation.
The NSCDC South East Mining Marshals Team remains steadfast in collaboration with relevant agencies to enhance surveillance, strengthen enforcement, and sustain the government’s zero-tolerance stance against illegal mining across the region.
