OPERATIONAL TOUR: NSCDC COMMANDANT GENERAL VISITS OSUN, DEEPENS SECURITY PARTNERSHIP AND REINFORCES DISCIPLINE AMONG PERSONNEL

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, has continued his operational tour of the South-West with a strategic engagement in Osun State, where he met with the State Government and delivered a firm message of discipline, excellence, and renewed commitment to officers and men of the Command.

At Government House, Osogbo, the Commandant General was received by His Excellency Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, Governor of Osun State, who was ably represented by the Deputy Governor, His Excellency Prince Kola Adewusi. The engagement focused on strengthening collaboration in tackling emerging security threats, safeguarding critical national assets, and improving community safety across the state.

Professor Audi expressed deep appreciation for the Osun State Government’s support, emphasizing that a united security architecture is vital to maintaining peace and boosting socio-economic development. He also highlighted the Corps’ nationwide progress; improved operational logistics, upgraded intelligence capacity, and continuous motivation and welfare initiatives for personnel.

Shortly after, the Commandant General addressed officers and men of the Osun State Command, charging them to remain unwavering in the pursuit of professionalism, integrity, and loyalty to the nation.

“Discipline is the soul of our service. We cannot deliver effectively if we compromise standards. Every officer must rise to the call of duty and prove that the NSCDC is the people’s shield; trusted, trained, and prepared to protect,” he declared.

He reassured personnel that the Corps will continue to invest in training and capacity development to ensure they are well-equipped to confront modern security challenges. Professor Audi further urged them to remain courageous, morally upright, and committed to strengthening public trust in the NSCDC.

The Osun State engagement reinforces the Commandant General’s continued efforts to fortify NSCDC formations nationwide, inspire personnel, and deepen strategic partnerships with critical stakeholders for a more secure Nigeria.
