FAITH MEETS SERVICE: NEW CHAPEL COMMISSIONED AS EBONYI GOVERNOR CELEBRATES NSCDC CG AT GALA NIGHT
A new wave of inspiration swept through the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Ebonyi State Command following the donation of a fully built and furnished Chapel to the Command Headquarters in Abakaliki by a philanthropist.
The magnificent edifice, commissioned by the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, stands as a monumental testament to faith, partnership, and the enduring value of community support for security institutions.
In his remarks, the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, commended the philanthropist for the noble gesture, describing it as “a priceless contribution to the spiritual rejuvenation and emotional balance of personnel who daily put their lives on the line to safeguard lives and property.”
Prof. Audi further noted that such acts of benevolence from well-meaning citizens strengthen the morale of officers and reinforce public confidence in the Corps’ commitment to service and nation-building.
Following the Chapel commissioning, the Ebonyi State Government hosted the Commandant General and his entourage to a colourful Gala Night at the Government House, Abakaliki. The evening fostered deeper interaction between the State Government and the Corps’ leadership, reaffirming the collective resolve to enhance synergy in the pursuit of peace and security across Ebonyi State.
