NSCDC TO COLLABORATE WITH POLICY INNOVATION CENTRE FOR SUCCESS OF GENDER SUMMIT
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has expressed willingness in collaborating with the Policy Innovation Centre, an affiliate of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group, towards the success of the 4th Gender inclusion Summit.
Commandant General (CG) of the NSCDC, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, stated this when he played host to a delegation from the Centre who paid him an advocacy visit.
The CG, a professor of Gender and Security Studies, assured of his readiness to share his expertise on Gender inclusion and participation as provided by the Security Sector Reform, adding that his administration in the Corps provides much opportunities for female gender to compete favourably with their male counterparts in appointments of female in various strategic positions.
Earlier, the Executive Director of Policy Innovation Centre, Dr Osasuyi Dirisu, represented by Mr Akinwumi Akinola, explained that their visit was aimed at collaboration with various stakeholders for the success of the forthcoming summit.
He expressed optimism that with NSCDC as a critical stakeholder in the defence landscape, their invaluable contributions would brighten the chances of success.
