NSCDC FCT COMMANDANT RECOGNIZES, REWARDS 23 OFFICERS WITH MEDALS OF EXCELLENCE.

In continuation of his resolve to reward excellence through motivation of his personnel to perform efficiently, the Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Command, Olusola Odumosu, Ph.D, has again presented Medals of excellence and letters of commendation to twenty - three (23) of his personnel at the Command Headquarters in Abuja .

The presentation of Medals and letters of commendation to the officers for the first quarter of 2025, done at the Command Headquarters Wuse Zone 5, Abuja, formed the highlights of the Monday Muster parade.

Commandant Odumosu, said the award was in recognition of the outstanding performance of the twenty- three (23) officers drawn from all the departments, units, Area Commands and Divisions of the Command as recommended by the heads of Departments and units .

"This awards are based on merit with recommendations from the heads of Departments and units without any iota of bias", Odumosu said.

Commandant Odumosu, promised that the award which was for exceptional performance and dedication to duty will be on a quarterly bases to serve as motivation for officers to give their best.

"Motivation of my personnel is key, I know that to whom much is given much is expected, it is my own way of encouraging my officers to bring out their best and this is a continuous practice just to keep them at their zenith".

He disclosed that the quarterly assessment of his Area Commanders and Divisional officers also formed the bases for their selection adding that he can not afford to have sleeping officers at the Area Commands and Divisions in view of the vital roles they play to ensure the mandate of the corps is actualized.

"Your performance will always speak for you but if you are not performing, it will be obvious so my candid advice to you all is to buckle up and justify your positions and the much government is investing in you".

The FCT Command helmsman, charged all officers to rise to the challenge by performing creditably, stating that every officer stand the chance of being recognized and rewarded as long as they are living up to the expectations of their offices and the Corps significantly.
