A CONVERGENCE OF WISDOM AND DUTY: DR. AUDI ENGAGES THE SULTAN OF SOKOTO ON STRENGTHENING NATIONAL SECURITY

During his operational tour of the North West region, the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, paid a courtesy call on His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Sultan of Sokoto.

The meeting reinforced the indispensable role of traditional institutions in Nigeria’s security framework. As a former military general, the Sultan of Sokoto offers more than symbolic leadership—he brings strategic depth, discipline, and experience to bear on issues of national importance.

Dr. Audi commended the Sultan’s unique perspective and longstanding contributions to peacebuilding, describing him as a steady voice of wisdom in turbulent times.
