100 JOURNALIST TO BE TRAINED BY JOURNALISM CLINIC ACROSS NIGERIA SPONSORED BY FIDELITY BANK PLC
Journalism Clinic, which vision is to raise the next generation of first-rate Nigerian journalists in
May 2017 trained the editorial staff of
Techpoint.ng on how to make their content connect with people,
particularly in the digital age. they worked on where the stories are, how
to find them and how to present them in a compelling way.
Shortly after, one of the participant, Victor Ekwealor, worked on one of the story ideas that was considered during the training and he entered for the PwC Media Excellence Awards. That story won him the Best Journalist of the Year in the Business and Economy Reporting category of the Awards. It came with a prize of N500,000:00.
That led journalism clinic to create another course - #RethinkingContent. sponsored by Fidelity Bank plc, 100 journalists across Nigeria would be trained Free of charge courtesy Fidelity Bank plc as part of its commitment to support excellence .
The first leg of the training holds on Saturday, 18 August 2018, at The Hub, 2 Anifowose Close, off Adebola Street, off Adeniran Ogunsanya Street, Surulere, Lagos. Other legs will be in Enugu (25 August), Lagos (1 September) and Abuja (8 September). respectively.
