Female Squad Tightens Security at AUST Graduation as Graduands Celebrate Innovation and Excellence

LAGOS — Security was heightened at the African University of Science and Technology on Wednesday, August 6, 2026, as the Female Squad provided full coverage for the institution’s graduation ceremony honoring students who successfully completed their studies.

The event, held to celebrate academic achievement and showcase students’ work, drew dignitaries from government, finance, and education sectors. In attendance were _The High Commissioner of The Gambia to Nigeria_, representatives of the _Bank of Industry_, _National Board for Technical Education (NBTE)_, _Nigeria Agricultural Development Fund_, and _Jaiz Bank_. Also present were the _Senior Special Assistant to the President on Protocol_, AUST President _Professor Nwalu_, and Chief Host _Dr. Shodu_, CEO of SchoolHunters — noted as one of the greatest supporters of the Female Squad. Staff, parents, and well-wishers also graced the occasion.

The ceremony opened with an exhibition of projects and products developed by trainees and graduands. Guests were taken on a guided tour of the stalls to inspect the innovative works on display.

A highlight of the day was a fashion parade featuring different teams. At the end of the parade, winners were selected and presented with monetary prizes for creativity and presentation.

Awards were also presented to graduating students in various categories, recognizing academic performance, outstanding achievements, and exemplary personal conduct during their period of study.

In line with the institution’s focus on safety and professionalism, the Female Squad delivered an educational session to the graduands on _Health, Safety, Security, and Personal Conduct_ as they prepare to transition into their careers.
