STRENGTHENING ACCOUNTABILITY FOR BETTER SERVICE DELIVERY TO NIGERIANS

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, actively participated in the 2026 Sectoral Retreat of the Ministry of Interior and its agencies. Held at the Nigerian Army Conference Centre and Suites, Abuja, the retreat served as a strategic forum to review institutional performance and reinforce commitments to accountable leadership and effective service delivery to Nigerians.

In his opening remarks, the Honourable Minister of Interior, Hon. Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, charged agency heads to strengthen transparency, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure that government policies translate into measurable benefits for citizens.

At the retreat, the NSCDC helmsman presented the Corps’ scorecard, showcasing key operational achievements, reforms, and strategic initiatives designed to protect critical national assets and infrastructure across the federation. Top management staff of the NSCDC were also in attendance, underscoring the collective leadership commitment of the Corps.

The event provided a platform for agencies under the Ministry of Interior to evaluate progress, align priorities, and renew their collective commitment to delivering responsive, professional, and citizen-focused services to Nigerians.
