CG AUDI DRIVES HUMAN SECURITY DOCTRINE IN NSCDC OPERATIONS

As part of efforts to strengthen operational effectiveness and deepen people-centered security across the Corps, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has commenced a Two-Day Step-Down Workshop on Integrating Human Security Consideration in NSCDC Operations at the Dr. Ade Abolurin Auditorium, NSCDC National Headquarters, Sauka, Abuja.

In line with the vision of the Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, to build a disciplined, intelligence-driven and people-focused security institution, the workshop is designed to equip officers with the capacity to integrate human security principles into operational planning and field engagements. The workshop was declared open on behalf of the Commandant General by the Acting Deputy Commandant General in charge of Training and Manpower Development, ACG Mukhtar Lawal, mni.

The capacity-building initiative is supported by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and the Center for Civilians in Conflict, reflecting strategic collaboration aimed at strengthening the protection of civilians, particularly children and other vulnerable populations affected by conflict and insecurity.

The Commandant General reaffirmed that integrating human security into operations remains a key pillar in repositioning the Corps to effectively protect critical national assets and infrastructure, strengthen community-based security architecture, and sustain professional and people-centered service delivery across the nation.
