ANAMBRA: COMMANDANT MAKU OLATUNDE ATTENDS SOLUDO'S SECOND TERM INAUGURATION CEREMONY

The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Anambra State, Commandant Maku Olatunde, on Tuesday, 17th March 2026, attended the inauguration ceremony of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo as the Executive Governor of Anambra State, alongside his deputy, Dr. Onyeka Ibezim.

The inauguration, meant to usher in the administration for a new four-year term, was held at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, following a series of pre-inauguration activities.

Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, flanked by his family, took the oath of allegiance and oath of office, administered by the Chief Judge of Anambra State, Justice Onochie Anyachebelu, after the same was done for the deputy.

The event was attended by eminent personalities among them the Vice President of Nigeria ; Senator Kashim Shettima, former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, former Commonwealth Secretary-General Emeka Anyaoku, and Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, among other state governors.

Several dignitaries, and government functionaries from across the 21 local government areas of the State and beyond, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and federal and state lawmakers led by the Speaker of the state assembly, Somtochukwu Udeze, also witnessed the event.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, aside from deploying personnel to strengthen security across the state and ensure a smooth and peaceful inauguration, also participated actively in the ceremony with a parade to add colour to the event.
