 NSCDC REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO PERFORMANCE-DRIVEN PUBLIC SERVICE UNDER INTERIOR MINISTRY REFORMS



The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has joined other agencies under the Federal Ministry of Interior for a Capacity Building Training on Performance Management System (PMS) held in Abuja.


Declaring the training open, the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, emphasized that the initiative aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Federal Government aimed at strengthening efficiency, accountability, and measurable service delivery across all sectors. He noted that performance must now be guided by discipline, innovation, and results that make a visible difference in governance.


The programme brought together senior officers from the Ministry and its agencies to build capacity, improve coordination, and promote a unified performance culture within the Interior sector.


In demonstration of the Corps’ commitment to results-based management, the Deputy Commandants General (DCGs) who head the various Directorates of the NSCDC have signed a Performance Bond with the Commandant General, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, to ensure accountability, measurable output, and continuous improvement in all operational and administrative functions.


The NSCDC reaffirmed its alignment with the Minister’s reform vision by entrenching professionalism, transparency, and a results-oriented work ethic that supports national security and effective service delivery.
