NSCDC DEEPENS PROFESSIONALISM AS CG FLAGS OFF STRATEGIC TRAINING FOR ASSET TRACKING DESK OFFICERS

In a decisive move to strengthen professionalism and reinforce the unique identity of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Commandant General, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, OFR, mni, has convened Asset Tracking Desk Officers at the National Headquarters, Abuja, for an intensive capacity-building programme.

Declaring the training open on behalf of the CG, the Assistant Commandant General (ACG) Training, Muktar Lawal, mni, said the initiative reflects the CG’s unwavering belief that a well-trained workforce is the foundation of an efficient, accountable, and globally aligned security organisation.

The training, themed “Asset Classification in Compliance with International Public Sector Accounting Standard (IPSAS),” provides officers with clear, modern guidelines for identifying, categorising and documenting government assets — a vital step toward transparency, proper record-keeping, and unified operational standards across the Corps.
