 Ogun Police Debunk Old Video, Clarify Incident Happened in 2024




The Ogun State Police Command has observed the circulation of an old video on social media falsely portrayed as a recent incident in Ogun State. The Command wishes to clarify that the footage relates to an incident that occurred in 2024 and is being deliberately recirculated with misleading captions capable of creating a false impression among members of the public.


The Command urges residents to disregard the video and refrain from sharing unverified security-related content. The spread of outdated and misleading materials not only causes unnecessary anxiety but also undermines the efforts of security agencies working tirelessly to maintain peace, public safety, and order across the State.


The Ogun State Police Command reassures all residents that Ogun State remains safe, peaceful, and secure. The Command remains steadfast in its commitment to protecting lives and property and encourages members of the public to continue their lawful activities without fear while supporting the Police with credible information through appropriate channels.
