SENATOR KEN NNAMANI COMMENDS NSCDC AS A "SUCCESSFUL CREATION" OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

Former Senate President and Chairman of the Board of Governors for the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Senator (Dr) Ken Nnamani, GCON, has lauded the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for its significant contributions to national stability.

Speaking during a recent visit,the veteran legislator described the Corps as one of the most successful legislative creations of the National Assembly, urging the personnel to remain steadfast in their mission to protect the Nigerian people.

The former Senate President reserved high praise for the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR. Senator Nnamani highlighted Prof. Audi’s leadership as being driven by a profound personal interest in national service.

He encouraged the entire rank and file to draw inspiration from this leadership style to maintain their zeal in safeguarding lives, property, and critical national infrastructure.

Strengthening the Bond Between Policy and Security

In his response, Prof. Audi expressed deep appreciation for Senator Nnamani’s visit and his historic role in the passage of the NSCDC Establishment Act. Describing the Senator as a "principled and detribalized Nigerian."

The Commandant General reaffirmed his commitment to institutional transformation. Prof. Audi emphasized that the Corps had entered a formidable stage of evolution, with the ultimate goal of elevating the NSCDC into a world-class security agency.
