 At the 14th National Security Seminar, organised by the Alumni Association of the National Defence College (AANDEC) in collaboration with the National Defence College (NDC) and the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, was honoured with an Award of Recognition for his visionary leadership and strategic contributions to national peace and security.

With the theme “Combating the Threats of Hunger and Poverty for Sustainable Peace and Development in Nigeria,” the seminar focused on the urgent need to address socio-economic drivers of insecurity through inclusive, non-kinetic approaches such as community engagement, poverty alleviation, and collaborative governance.

Under Professor Audi’s leadership, the NSCDC has embraced a proactive model of security—one that integrates strategic synergy, intelligence-led operations, and people-centered peacebuilding to foster lasting stability across Nigeria.
