No going back on fight against insecurity-Kuje chairman
The chairman of Kuje Area Council, Ahaji Abdullahi Galadima has said
there was no going back on his administration’s fight against
insecurity.
He said as chief security officer of the area, he was determined to
work with security agents as well as other necessary stakeholders to
ensure protection of lives and property.
The chairman called on the people to support his effort in the fight
against issues that will bring about crime within groups or residents,
“combating insecurity is a situation that all of us must give it
serious attention.
“Traditional and religious leaders as well as another residents have
to work together to see that the issue of security challenge is
addressed.”
Galadima, during a town hall meeting with residents and traditional
rulers disclosed that his administration since assumption of office till
date had recorded five incidents of attacks in some communities.
He listed the attacks recorded by his administration on assumption of
office till date to include, farmers and herdsmen clashes at
Buzun-Kure/Godozhi, attack by gunmen at Zagabutu.
Others are attack by gunmen in Darka/ Huni Gade, another one at Tide
village and the kidnap of 10 persons also at Darka and Huni Grade
communities.
The council chairman urged residents irrespective of party affiliation
to support his administration with ideas on how to make the place
better for all.
Responding on behalf of the traditional rulers, the Gomo of Kuje, HRH
Jibrin Tanko who was represented by the Agabe of Gwargwada, Alhaji
Hussaini Mam, pledged the traditional institutions readiness to doing
all with their powers to promote peace in communities.
