Away from the hustling and bubbling of the week, professionals that cut across the media, judiciary and security took time to unwind at an anniversary and award night organised by National Crimewatch magazine

And against the norms, judges whose  hard works were recognised changed the narratives by bowing before those who would ordinarily bow before them in their respective courts.
But this time they went home with plaques recognising their dedication to duty.
It was at the 15th year anniversary of pioneering crime reporting in Nigeria, 2018 Annual Award and unveiling of the October issue of the magazine by the Tony Okpe Communications.
On 27th October as if in switch of roles, Justice Mojisola Dada, of the Special Offences Court, and Adenike Adeniyi-Coker of the Lagos State High Court Division, two judges who litigants and lawyers bow to the Lordships in their hallowed courtrooms took ‘bows’ in appreciation of their recognition before common men, in contrast to a biblical saying that one skillful at his art will bow before kings and not common men.
Appreciating the gesture for being awarded the National Crimewatch Judge of the Year 2018, and commending the latest edition of the magazine, Justice Dada said, “I’m elated, … It is worthy to unveil the brain stormy session, sleepless night put into producing this beautiful publication too.
“It is really, highly commendable. The publisher is going to find a lot of support from God and man and Nigeria will be bless for it.”
Adding credence, Justice Coker who was awarded Outstanding Judicial Personality of the Year recalled that there has been lot of work and support and sought divine blessings for the media outfit, she prayed, “They will grow from strength to strength, more support will come for his company and his family.
An elated journalist while being handed his award by Captain Joseph Nnodim representing the Chairman of the event, Mr. Wale Olaoye, Halogen Security Limited as the Best Judiciary Correspondent of the Year 2018, Mr. Akintunde Akinwale of This Day newspaper and second term running Chairman of the National Association of Judiciary Correspondent, NAJUC, was overwhelmed with words as he expressed that he was unaware that someone somewhere was watching his deeds saying further that his first award will pummel him to do more.
