The POLICE and the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) have joined forces to put an end to the carnages caused on FCT roads through fre­quent crashes.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in-charge of Apo Settle­ment under Abuja Municipal Area Council,(AMAC) CSP Ya­haya Jega reiterated his men and officers’ commitment to partner­ing with officials of the (FRSC) to tackle the menace.
Jega stated this when he re­ceived a delegation of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) offi­cials from Lokogoma Unit Com­mand, who paid him a courtesy visit in his office, recently.
He commended the visitors for initiating interactive session, which he said the move would foster understanding and cordial working relationship between them and the FRSC.
The DPO pledged his readiness to work closely with members of the public, just as he enjoined resi­dents of the area to always regard security as a collective responsi­bility of all.
Earlier, the FRSC Unit Com­mander of Lokogoma, Mr. Obed Shekarau said the essence of the visit was to join heads as gov­ernment agencies to fashion out ways on how better to work and achieve more effective result.
He assured the FRSC of sup­port whenever there is the need to conduct its mobile court and other combined patrol activities on the roads. The Authority
