LOCKDOWN :AIG ILIYASU HAS ASSURED LAGOS, OGUN RESIDENTS TO SLEEP WITH THEIR TWO EYES CLOSED

 
   The Assistant Inspector General of Police incharge of Zone 2 Onikan Lagos, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu psc has assured the residents in both Lagos and Ogun States of tranquility to sleep with their two eyes fully closed.AIG Ahmed made this statement  while responding in a radio program on Faaji fm 106.5 adding that DPOs, Area Commanders, tactical Commanders and Commissioners of Police in both States are working assiduously to beef up security through out the nooks and crannies of the areas.He advised hoodlums, miscreants in the habit of terrorising the residents to henceforth deviate from this barbaric attitude otherwise face the wrath of law, saying, there is no place for criminal to hibernate within the Zone.He further noted that, Covid -19 is real which has caused unrest globally, the position of governments on lockdown is to detect hidden cases of this pandemic and proffer solution that will get rid of this virus, emphasizing that fighting unknown  enemy is enough than causing unrest through criminals in our area.Iliyasu enjoined the residents to be vigilant at all times and report any suspicious individual at their area to the Police adding that governments have put machineries in place to foresee any criminality.While responding on the live radio interview, Iliyasu stated that "I have the clear knowledge of the policing environment, as in clear knowledge of the people, following the covid-19 pandemic which is not only National but international, the covid-19 has covered everywhere, brought so many difficulties, but I appreciate the response of the Federal Government and two States Governments, that is, the Lagos State which is a smart economy and Ogun State following the lockdown and restrictions, I took the two of my commissioners of Police on a  visiting round, if you could remember one or two weeks ago for an haccessment of the restriction on the ground. I move from Lagos here down to Ogun State with the two CPs and made very clear statement of various review of their security scription and compliance level. After reviewing the security scription and the intelligence report, some quiet disturbing coming from some areas like Ogun where we have Ifo, Agbado, Akute, Ijoko u know I know areas in Ogun State, also making some haccessment of the situation going on there, some hoodlums, miscreants, what ever you call yourself, if you carry any weapons under any guys or name I will only call you hoodlum, criminal because under whatever circumstances we have a procedure, process whereby you can seek for your lively hood, that is that''."The activities of the hoodlum which began in the border areas of Ifo, agbado, akute and Ijoko in Ogun State speed over to Agege Ipaja, Isolo, Oshodi, Badagry, Idimu, Isheri, Alagbado here and some areas of Alimosho, most of these areas, they shared common borders, culture and commercial activities. So after making a review of this architecture, we therefore decided to bring out a complete plan whereby the activities of these miscreants will be brought down to leveL''."We are assuring all our people in Lagos and Ogun State based on the  security architectural. We have now put in place also with the assistance of the two states Governments as well as the Inspector General of Police, new sets of tactical fusion forces have been deployed also there is patrol, quick response, we have set out all the numbers Operatives in the command, the DPOs, area commanders, I'm assuring all the people to go back and disregard some of the rumours spreading around, to sleep with their two eyes closed because our Officers are on ground, tactical commanders, commissioners of Police that we have on ground also with the injection of a deputy inspector general of Police who is coming in to observe and coordinate some of the operations of the tactical injected. We are assuring everybody of peace and tranquility" Iliyasu added.
