Hon Kayode Oladele, Others Bag National Crimewatch Award 2019



It was a night of garlands for gallantry on Sunday, December 1st, 2019 as Hon. Kayode Oladele - Former House of Representative Member and Former Committee Chairman on Financial Crime was awarded Special Recognition for Crime Fighting and a host of other crime preventers in Law, Regulatory and Enforcement Agency were recognized at the 16th year anniversary/award organized by National Crimewatch magazine.



The Managing Editor, Mrs Funke Busari of casefileng.com also went home with a prize of the Judicial Correspondent of the Year for her investigation entitled: “Unease Lies The Heads That Wear The Wig, a report that chronicled the judiciary, court congestion and unending adjournments that have continually made justice seekers suffer in a stale system.
Other journalists who bagged awards and recognition in different categories are: Evelyn Usman, Assistant Crime Editor, Vanguard Newspaper as Outstanding Female Crime Reporter of the Year.



Chiemelie Ezeobi, Group Features Editor, ThisDay Newspaper as Most Outstanding Defence Editor of the Year.
Precious Igbonweludun, The Nations Newspaper as Female Investigative Journalist of the Year
Sunday Odita, The Guardian Newspaper as Most Resourceful Media Personality of the Year
Christopher Oji, The Sun Newspaper as Most Outstanding Crime News Editor of the Year
Cyriacus Izuekwe P.M Express Newspaper as Crime Reporter of the Year
Journalists Hang Out, a live discussion broadcast on Television Continental, TVC was awarded the Most Objective and Analytical Television Program of the Year, while Access Bank Plc was named Security Support Bank of the Year
Service Chiefs also recognised with Lifetime Achievement Awards were Lieutenant General TY Buratai, Chief of Army Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, Chief of Air Staff and Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, Chief of Naval Staff.
Other for Special Recognition Awards were Col. Sagir Musa; Director Army Public Relations, Commodore Suleman Dahun, Director of Information, Nigerian Navy and DCP Frank Mba, Force Public Relations Officer, Chief Superintendent of Customs, CSC Ahmed Kaugama was named Most Outstanding Nigeria Customs Service Strike Force Officer of the Year, while DCP Abba Kyari – Commander IGP Intelligence Response Team was the National Crimewatch Man Of The Year 2019, Which is the lead award of the year.



Special Recognition award for Peace and Conflict Resolutions the North East went to Amb.Wada Abubakar Sadique, National Vice Chairman, PCRC North East.
CSP Rieninwa Philip, Chief Superintendent of Police, Coordinator IGP/IRT South West Zone was awarded Most Outstanding Police Officer of the Year.
CSP Bala Elkana, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer was awarded Most Outstanding State Police Public Relationship Officer of the Year



DSP Omolola Odutola was named Most Outstanding Administrative Police Officer of the Year.
DSP Aduroja Akinola was also named Most Outstanding Police Tracker of the Year.
CSP Chilke Oti the former Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer bagged a special recognition award for crime fighting.
ACP Benjamin Uzondu Osuji was named Most Outstanding Police Area Commander of the Year.
CSP Saheed Olayinka Egbeyemi was named Most Outstanding Environmental Task Force, Monitoring and Enforcement Officer of the Year.
CSP Titilayo Oluwasanmi Oriyomi was named Most Outstanding Police Traffic Officer of the Year.
CSP Peter Gana -OC Lagos FSARS was named Most Outstanding Investigative Officer of the Year.
CSP Taiwo Olufemi Kasumu was named Divisional Police Officer of the Year. [male]
Commissioner of Police Anambra State, CP John B.Abang was most outstanding police commissioner of the year, Most Outstanding Deputy Commissioner of Police went to DCP Operations, DCP Mohammed Ali and DCP Yetunde Longe was also named Most Outstanding female Deputy Police Commissioner of the Year respectively.
ACP Kadiri Olarewaju Ibrahim, Divisional Officer NSCDC was awarded Most Outstanding Divisional NSCDC Officer of the Year.
SP Celestina Kalu was named Most Outstanding Female Divisional Police Officer of the Year.
ASP Chukwu Otuu Chuwkwa was awarded IGP/IRT Tracker of the Year
Barrister Monday Onyekachi Ubani was named Most Outstanding Human Rights Lawyer of the Year and Crime Prevention Pastor of the Year went to General Overseer, Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministry, Daniel K. Olukoya.
