The suspects were identified as Ismaila Ebenizer 38 years (fake soldier) Hillary Nwoha 40 years, Iwuagwu Joseph 33 years and Iwuanyanwu Ifeanyi, 60 years.
They were said to have been apprehended on 6th January 2019 at about 6.00pm by operatives of the command attached to the Anti cultism Unit.
It was gathered that the suspects were arrested in a Toyota  Camry Saloon car with the illegal firearms the police operatives while on routine patrol.  During the search of the vehicle, the firearm identified as a pump action rifle was said to have been recovered by the cops.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police Edgal Imohimi confirmed the arrest on Monday during a press briefing.
His words, ” On 6/01/2019, at about 1800hrs, operatives of the command attached to the Anti-cultism unit, while on routine patrol intercepted a Toyota Camry Saloon Car with four occupants: 1.  Ismaila Ebenizer ‘m’ 38 years (fake soldier)2.     Hillary Nwoha ‘m’ 40 years3.     Iwuagwu  Joseph ‘m’ 33 years4.     Iwuanyanwu Ifeanyi ‘m’ 60 years  On searching their vehicle, a pump action rifle was recovered.
Investigation so far revealed that suspects belong to a kidnapping gang terrorizing Ikorodu axis of the state.
Suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigation is over”.
