Bomb blasts kill 5, injure 39 in IDPs camp

 

The Borno State Emergency Management Service, SEMA, has confirmed five dead and thirty-nine injured as five bombs exploded at Dalori 1 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp at the outskirts of Maiduguri.

Impeccable civilian JTF sources said that all the bombs exploded between 7pm and 9:30 pm.

According to the sources, two bombs exploded right inside the camp, which accommodates majority of Bama IDPs; and as the IDPs rushed to the scene to help the casualties, two other bombs went off.

The fifth, according to the sources, exploded right outside the camp, adjacent some shops.
